Persecuted and Rejected While Being Obedient

1 Kings 19:1-18

Oftentimes, we cannot understand why bad things are happening in our lives, especially when we know we're being good. God never promised us a perfect life; the Bible reminds us in Psalm 23:4, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me". The good news is that even through the darkest and scariest times, God will never leave us. 

Reading this scripture, I remembered Jesus and His suffering while taking on our punishments, though He was sinless. 
As we face the storms of life, we must remember that God is always with us and draw strength from Him.
